The care given is the best in the world, and many techniques and treatments that are common in hospitals around the country today were pioneered at Shriners Hospitals for Children®. 

Daughters of the Nile across North America work tirelessly in raising money for Shriners Hospitals for Children® through the Daughters of the Nile Foundation.  Donations to the Convalescent Endowment Fund and Convalescent Relief Account mean help for children today and in the future. Each year, the Daughters of the Nile Foundation contributes over $1.5 million to the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children® in North America.  Check out our online Gift Store for ways you can help.  The Daughters of the Nile Foundation is proud of its contributions and of reaching the $50 million mark!  Thank you to all our friends and supporters who have made this achievement possible.

Supreme Session Portland, Oregon…..Let the celebration begin!

 

 At Supreme Session 2012 being held in beautiful Portland, Oregon, your Charitable Giving “My Gift Program” Committee will introduce two new and exciting “100th Anniversary” commemorative items.  The new items are both beautiful and unique and reflect our commitment to Daughters of the Nile and to the patients we serve at Shriners Hospitals for Children®.

 

In creating these commemorative items, your “My Gift Program” Committee continues to offer desirable and elegant incentive gifts at an affordable price.  The primary anniversary item, which includes a lovely presention box, will be offered for a donation of $100.  This is a keepsake you will definitely want to have as a remembrance of the Daughters of the Nile “100th Anniversary”.  The second anniversary item, priced at $50, is versatile, useful and something every lady would enjoy having.

 

In addition to these commemorative gifts, a new plaque entitled “Hopes and Dreams” will be unveiled.  The plaque is not only beautiful, but original and unique unto itself with the process used to create it.

Supreme Queen Sue Layman and Foundation President Linda Trible placed the second  GOLD PLAQUE on the Philanthropic Wall in Shriners Hospitals for Children®-Los Angeles.  Contributions to the Convalescent Endowment Fund and Convalescent Relief Account allow Daughters of the Nile to support Shriners Hospitals for Children® with donations of over $1 Million each year. 

A gold plaque is added to the hospital Philanthropic Wall for each $1 Million contribution.  Daughters of the Nile now has two Gold Plaques in 12 hospitals.  The goal is to place two in each of the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children®.

Dignitaries from the Supreme Temple and Daughters of the Nile Foundation shared in the festivities at Shriners Hospital for Children®-Los Angeles.

Past Imperial Potentate Nick Thomas addressed the crowd on behalf of Imperial Potentate George Mitchell and Shriners International.

Supreme Queen Sue Layman is presented with a Philanthropic Society plaque commemorating the dedication of the Second GOLD Plaque at Shriners Hospitals for Children®-Los Angeles.
