This is your opportunity to make a gift that will benefit many generations of children who will come after you will and who will be in need of medical care. The children served by the Shriners Hospitals for Children® are the direct beneficiary of your generosity and your willingness to do gift planning. What better way to enhance the future medical care and treatment of children yet to be served and know that you are sharing your good fortune with others. Your gift can be the difference to enable a child to receive such treatment as that for scoliosis, osteogenesis imperfecta, limb deficiencies, club feet, leg length discrepancies or juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and for a child to obtain the necessary medical care to survive an acute burn. 

The Mission of the Daughters of the Nile Foundation is to provide funds so that the children served by the Shriners Hospitals for Children® can lead a better life. There are various mechanisms that can be utilized by you to allow the Foundation to be sustained and ensure that the Foundation has the financial ability to accomplish it’s Mission.  The good news is that not only will you be helping the children, but that the United States Government allows either an income tax, gift tax or estate tax deduction to anyone who makes a gift to The Supreme Temple, Daughters of the Nile Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity.  This becomes a win for you and a win for the children. The methods for accomplishing the planned gift are fairly straight forward.

WHERE TO BEGIN

First, remember that you do not need to be wealthy to make a gift to the Foundation that will make a significant difference to a young child.  Second, join with the Foundation in Working for the Children by browsing through the topic “Pain-free Giving.” These methods don’t affect your lifestyle or the security of your family and you

Gifting Incentives

Other ways you can give to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation include naming the Foundation as a beneficiary on your Retirement Accounts or your Annuities; naming the Foundation as a joint tenant, payable on death beneficiary or transferable on death beneficiary on your Certificates of Deposit and Savings Accounts; or establish a Charitable Remainder Trust that benefits the Foundation.

Marketable Securities

Gifts of long-term appreciated securities may include individual stocks, bonds, or shares of mutual funds. Gifts of securities can be made quickly and easily and can enable you to do more with your gift because of the tax benefits.

Wills and Bequests

A bequest to the Daughters of the Nile Foundation Convalescent Endowment Fund will continue supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children® after your death.  Federal estate tax laws encourage charitable bequests by allowing an estate tax deduction for the full value of charitable gifts.  No limit is placed on the amount that can be left to charity and deducted from your estate as a charitable contribution.
